In 2008, I attended the Athens International Film Festival in Greece as an international guest. I was there for approximately 3 weeks (?) (with the film’s director) for the screening of our feature film, Nocturne Night of The Vampire. The pic of me in front of the mirror was taken on the opening night of the festival. The rest of the photos are of our film screening, including the cinema turnout and Q & A.
I remember we walked the streets of Athens one day in the blistering hot sun (for hours) but we got lost. Out of nowhere, we found this cafe called “Hollywood” with Marilyn Monroe hanging on the wall. And the film director turned to me and said: “Even in Athens, you manage to find Hollywood.” I had actually completely forgotten this memory until I read my journal from that time. As Mae West said: “Keep a diary and one day it will keep you.” We forget so much. Journalling archives it FOREVER.
