People often ask me what my favourite European film festival was (out of all of the ones I attended)? And BIFFF was hands down the best. It was the biggest one (as far as size, length and attendance). Got to meet so many great artists like Stuart Gordon (cult director of Reanimator). Lisa Marie (Ed Wood, Sleepy Hollow, Mars Attack) and former wife of Tim Burton. The wonderful photographer Kris Dewitte (who would later photograph me in London). And then there were all the festival people (too many to mention). The wonderful founder of BIFFF, Freddy Bozzo who presented me with some art which I have framed. There was Koen and Luc – who were so kind to me. The complimentary food, transport, 5-star luxury accommodation. My friendship with film journalist, Ton van Rooij. Hands down my fave festival!
