Recently, I was speaking to a male friend, and he asked my opinion on the subject of marriage.
One of the questions was whether I thought a person could be married and free simultaneously? And my answer was a straight NO.
He then went on to ask if I thought freedom could exist in a healthy marriage? Again, my answer was a straight no.
Marriage (although most couples don’t want to admit to this) is about possession. It’s about making another human being – ALL YOURS, to the exclusion of everyone else.
This obsession with ownership is labelled “romance” and “true love” by conventional people: however, it is anything but.
A good test to find out whether you are “free” in a marriage is to go out partying for a week.
Make sure to hire yourself a hotel room and have lots of sex with good-looking people. Put your phone on silent and don’t respond to your partner when they contact you. After the week has ended, rock up at the house you share with them and say: “Honey, I’m home.”
In all likelihood, you are going to have to justify your absence to your partner. You are going to have to apologise and they may even kick you out of the house.
If you’re really unlucky – they may want a divorce.
And the reason for all of this drama and chaos:
IS BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT FREE. YOU ARE OWNED.
You are no different to a dog in a kennel or a bird in a cage. You have given away your rights.
Myself however, as a single woman. I can go out raging for 3 months and fuck 1000 men (if I want to) and nobody will say boo.
Because I live a FREE life.
No ifs.
No buts.
No maybes.
