Okay peeps, it’s time for you to grab your diaries and pencil in David Bowie Is at ACMI on November 7th 2014. This incredible cinema event will give Aussie audiences a sneak-peek into the Bowie exhibition, seven months ahead of its opening at ACMI in July 2015.
This documentary film is set to premiere in Australia at the approaching Melbourne Winter Masterpieces Exhibition. The doco is directed by BAFTA-winning director of the Academy Awards – Hamish Hamilton. Hamilton also directed Madonna: Drowned World Tour 2001.
The doco takes audience members on a revealing journey through theDavid Bowie Isexhibit, which explores moving images and key objects that documents the ever-evolving artistic career of the iconic David Bowie.
Curators Geoffrey Marsh and Victoria Broackes provide valuable insight by showing never-seen-before diary entries, handwritten lyrics andalbum cover artwork revealing the evolution of Bowie’s creativity and ideas.
