Everyone has been touched by cancer in some way.
We either know someone with cancer, care for someone with cancer or have journeyed through cancer ourselves.
Whatever your connection may be, why not share your experience in a creative sense by entering The Daffodil Day Arts Awards?
The theme for 2012 is ‘Strength.’
Whether you want to express your story through writing a short story, making a short film or creating a piece of art, is entirely up to you.
This competition is not just for professionals. Anyone who wishes to express their cancer journey through the mediums mentioned is encouraged to enter.
I have attended and been part of ‘The Daffodil Day Arts Awards’ over the years and it is an amazing exhibition, one leaves feeling inspired, humbled and hopeful.
I suggest you check out their website and peruse the entries from previous years.
The truth and beauty you will find in each individual’s expression will make your heart flutter.
Entries will be accepted until 5pm on the 27th of April 2012.
So start being creative and share your story.
One has to believe that the more we share our stories, we strengthen in our collective fight against cancer.
Visit the website and download your entry form.
